OUGD603 - Brief 08 - Tony Broomhead - Workshop

The brief was a relatively tight one, we had the day to create a sculpture. We first set about developing sketches of trees that we thought would work. I decided that we should create a modular tree inspired by flat back furniture.

The next step was to experiment with different forms and shapes and see how they would interlink together.

We Worked with a variety of angular geometric shapes to give it a christmas tree shape. I think the development stage and creating prototypes really helped to develop our final out come.

This is the final design. We took the time to develop the tree after the day had ended. I was in charge of the making of the net and creating the base.

I also created an infographic poster to present to holbeck along side the tree. The poster includes the teams names and contact links.
