OUGD603 - Brief 06 - DBA - Crit Preparation

In preparation for the up coming crib with the members of the DBA we decided to cement our concept and begin to create visuals to gain feed back on. With the concept of cogs we developed the way in which we could represent the cities through a combination of vectorised cogs and imagery.

We first developed the posters, with the fact that they most work as a set in mind. I looked at the configuration of the cogs and how they could work as one yet still show the differing cities.

I next looked at the placement of the information on the poster. This proved tricky as their wasn't one uniform area on every poster that worked with the title. The solution was to use alternate corners.

For the final stage of the development i sourced relevant images of each city and layered them over the cogs. The design decision was made to make the cogs black and white so they worked together as a set more cohesively.

Our next task was to develop a stand alone logo that would work on its own and with the posters. We developed a few different options using the cogs to link the branding and the posters.
